Flexure mirror mounts utilize the simplest form of precise adjustment possible.
Thin sections of the aluminum mount are permitted to bend under pressure from
the adjustment screws. This provides a continuous fine adjustment of
position. Two orthogonal movements are possible and once set both axes remain
firmly in position, restrained by the pressure of the set screws. Mirrors must be permanently mounted by means of a small amount of
adhesive applied to the rear surface. A ledge holds the mirror in the correct
position while the adhesive sets. The flexure mount accepts round or square mirrors up to 25.4mm (1
inch). Counter-bored clearance holes in the baseplate permit hard mounting
onto a breadboard or instrument chassis. |
