Prisms

Penta prisms deviate an input beam by 270° (-90°) independently of the
angle of incidence on the first surface. They are therefore useful as precise
right angle mirrors which are insensitive to alignment. These penta prisms
find many metrological applications. These penta prisms are BMAR coated on the entrance and exit faces as
well as being PALR coated on the internal reflection faces. |

become more important in preserving the quality of the transmitted wavefront.
All of our non-dispersive optical prisms are manufactured from the very
finest Grade A BK7 glass and are carefully annealed to remove any residual
stress |
