Founded by Eric Dréan in 2001, Photon Lines began its activity as a distributor of optical instruments in the research sector. Eric previously worked for over 10 years at a French photonics company as a technical sales executive. He founded a Detector & Camera department dedicated to research and industry. With his employer’s approval, four members of his team at the time decided to join him in creating Photon Lines. From the very beginning, the company’s DNA has been rooted in the expertise of its employees. Beyond sales, what sets Photon Lines apart is its comprehensive approach to installations, ensuring the best possible solution for the client’s specific needs.

In 2002, Lionel Gérard joined the venture as a partner alongside Eric Dréan. Coming from a group working closely with the mass retail sector, Lionel brought valuable experience in management and marketing. With a higher education background in business management, he partnered with Eric to form the leadership team that would drive the company’s growth from then on.
