The eyeSPID-VNIR* camera is a bold answer to the main factor limiting the use of spectral imaging in industry : speed.
Allowing real-time control of a wide variety of products by optical analysis beyond human perception, spectral imaging makes it possible to detect parameters invisible to conventional machine vision (low-contrast foreign bodies, product composition …). However, spectral imagers with good spectral performance while maintaining good spatial resolution have a speed limit that does not allow them to keep pace with many industrial production lines.
Based on this observation, Photon Lines conceived and developed eyeSPID-VNIR, a novel solution for high-speed spectral imaging, making Photon Lines the first French manufacturer of hyperspectral cameras.
In addition to offering high-performance spectro-spatial resolution, the eyeSPID-VNIR camera allows the acquisition of hyperspectral data between 400 and 1000 nm wavelength at "full resolution" speeds (without binning or ROI) up to 3000 Hz.
Combined with the eyeSPICE software, the eyeSPID-VNIR camera enables the implementation of advanced and fully automated high-speed spectral imaging solutions.

eyeSPICE is a software platform born from field needs, intended for hyperspectral imaging. eyeSPICE offers a complete environment for acquisition, visualization, processing and automated control. Various cameras on the market can be calibrated and checked here. Data visualization is simple and clear, and the development of interpretive models is facilitated by a choice of relevant tools. An online monitoring module as well as a variable interface according to the user profile gives eyeSPICE great accessibility. eyeSPICE is thus a true Swiss army knife of hyperspectral imaging sharpened for industry, research, ideal for both engineers and technicians.
Within eyeMOTION, the eyePIV plugin allows, from flow images, to calculate 2D2C velocity fields instantly in real time or in post-processing! Its revolutionary approach is to use an optimized optical flow algorithm embedded on a graphic board (GPU). Calculation times are thus drastically reduced, while obtaining highly qualitative results. In addition to the considerable gain in terms of spatial resolution (one vector per pixel, no diffusion at small scales, no generation of false vectors), eyePIV offers greater flexibility of use: resolution of greater speed gradients, low image noise dependence, intuitive adjustment of parameters. Our development know-how can even make it possible to output the desired quantities in real time or in instant post-processing. Storage requirements, and therefore energy, are greatly reduced, and the duration of your films can be extended (> 1h)!
eyePIV is the result of close collaboration with the Physics and Mechanics of Heterogeneous Environments Laboratory (ESPCI).
Initially developed as part of the EPSOLYS project (FEDER, Brittany / EU) for precision agriculture, eyeSMART is a little technological gem!
It is an ideal near infrared spectroscopy solution for a large number of applications in agriculture and the food industry.
It includes an on-board calculation unit to directly quantify the chosen parameters. The spectral model runs stand-alone (without a computer, using on-board processing).
eyeSMART embeds a monolithic Fabry-Pérot spectrometer and a powerful halogen source to collect high quality spectral data, thus benefitting from a high signal-to-noise ratio and minimized risk of errors.
The auto-calibration functionality is integrated: "dark" and "reference" calibration are possible thanks to the presence of an internal shutter.
eyeSMART is available in 5 spectral ranges: 1.10-1.35µm; 1.35-1.65µm; 1.55-1.95µm; 1.75-2.15µm; 2.00-2.45µm. Compact, ruggedised and waterproof case (IP67): it is perfectly suited to harsh environments!
